Hello Swell Cinema Supporters,

We finally see the light at the end of the tunnel (insert Shawshank reference comparing Covid closure to the tragic desolation of imprisonment here). With less than $10,000 left to raise, all three rooms – The HelpFlix Screening Room (12 seats), The Purple People Seater (24 seats with a dual use as a classroom), and The Rainbow Room (36 seats in the classic “couch cinema” style) are ready for you to come and see them in action.

Construction of the ADA-compliant (handicap) rest room is underway, and as soon as we can get an OK from the Town of Rockport, we will open to the public and start showing movies on a schedule (as opposed to just the private rentals we’re doing presently). We want to make this happen before year’s end.

But again, we can’t make this happen without help. Check out our final budget below and see if there’s an expense you can contribute toward. With your help, we can in short order get back to the award-winning business that we’ve been famous for since 2007 – bringing the best in independent, foreign, and repertory film programming to Cape Ann and North Shore audiences… and making movie memories that last a lifetime.
